The Oldsmobile Starfire GT was offered as a higher-end trim level for the Starfire throughout the 6-year model run. Primarily an appearance package, the GT trim level featured bold hood and body-side decals, Chrome "Super-Stock" rally-style wheels with trim rings and centre caps and bright wheel-opening moldings. Also included in this package were items such as full guage package with tachometer, electric clock, voltage and temp guages and upgraded tires. The appearance part of this package did not change from '75 thru '80 (above shows a '76), except the hood decal, due to the different style hood used on 1979 and '80 models. The GT trim package was given an RPO Code of Y64 by Oldsmobile on the build sheet.
