Hawk
After the special edition 'Nighthawk' ran it's course, Buick came out with another special edition 'bird' called the "Roadhawk".  Introduced in 1979 the Roadhawk was a radical change from the standard Skyhawk.  Again, the basic features of the Skyhawk were present in the Roadhawk but the appearance aspects were to change drastically.  Inside, a special white interior was standard with custom vinyl Oyster white buckets seats with black and grey striping running vertically on the buckets with the Buick 'hawk' bird featured on the headrests.
The exterior of the Roadhawk is a silver painted Skyhawk with grey accent paint and red pin-striping and a white Buick "hawk" on the rear quarter panels.  Other features include black-painted windshield wipers, window trim mouldings (front, side and rear), grill openings and bumper and headlamp trim.  A special body-colour front air dam and rear deck-lid spoiler with unique quarter panel flares were the highlight of the package.  A special handling package (BR70-13 blackwall tires, front & rear sway bars, heavy duty shocks) was the final addition to the Roadhawk.
