1976

1976 saw the introduction of a new performance and handling package for Chevrolet's Monza. The Spyder Equipment package, given an RPO Code of Z01, was to be the first in a series of Spyders that would evolve into Chevrolet's premier Special Edition for the Monza. This equipment package was available on both Towne Coupe and Sport Hatchback models

- BR70-13B Steel Belted Radial Blackwall or Raised White Letter tires

- F41 Suspension including larger front and rear stabilizer bars

- Special shock absorbers

- Center floor console

- Sport steering wheel

- Inside day/night mirror

- Special Instrumentation including tach, clock, voltmeter and temp gauges

- Wheel opening moldings

- Stitched instrument panel pad with added wood-grain vinyl accents

- Red Spyder front grille emblem

- Red script Spyder front fender emblems >>>

- Choice of 2.3L 2 bbl carb L4 (L11) or 4.3L 2bbl carb V8 (LV1) engines

- Choice of 5-speed (M75) manual or Turbo Hydramatic (M40) transmissions.
