The Oldsmobile Starfire GT (RPO Code Y64) was offered as a higher-end trim level for the Starfire throughout the 6-year model run.  Primarily an appearance package, the GT trim level featured bold hood and body-side decals in black, white or gold, Chrome "Super-Stock III" rally-style wheels with trim rings and centre caps and bright wheel-opening moldings along with blackwall tires with raised-white letters were standard on the GT.  But the GT didn't just end with decor items, also included in this package were items such as full guage package with tachometer, electric clock, voltmetre and temp guages and bright wheel wel opening moldings.  The appearance part of this package did not change from '75 thru '80 (above shows a '76), except for slight changes to the hood decal, due to the different style hood used on 1979 and '80 models.  The Starfire GT was introduced mid-1975 and was the only H-Body Special Edition that was available for every year of the H-body's six-year model run.  The GT trim package was given an RPO Code of Y64 by Oldsmobile on the build sheet.  Pricing for the GT package is as follows, according to the "Standard Catalog of Oldsmobile 1897-1997".  1975 - unknown, 1976 - $290-$391, 1977 - $451-$567, 1978 - $504-$627, 1979 - $447-$577 and 1980 - $496-$644.  The price ranges, I assume, must be the range between the dealer price and the final M.S.R.P. as there were no various levels of GT packages to choose from.
