1977 Pontiac 'Orangebird'

This is a photo of a Pontiac Sunbird show car that made the rounds of Auto Shows in the U.S. in 1977. 

Unfortunately this is all the information known about this car as no other details or photos have been found. 

As you can see, it is orange.  Very, very orange.  Pontiac's 1977 'Mandarin Orange', with RPO Codes 78U & 78L.

A very unique detail can be found in the wheels.  A darker orange paint was used to highlight a floral pattern while using silver as an accent in the wheel. 

Even the interior is orange with tan accents which, obviously (and thankfully), was not a standard colour.
