This car was a 1978 Monza shown at an outdoor GM display which was equipped with an aluminum V8 engine. The engine was just an experiimental powerplant but it was assumed that aluminum was the "engine metal of the future". Performance, handling and overall responsiveness of the aluminum block were fantastic. It was painted a striking yellow and black with red and orange stripes and test drivers were given a real ride.
