048733 - This number is split into 2 sections.  The first 2 digits always represent the week of manufacture.  In this case, due to the car being built the 1st week of December, this 04 would represent the 104th day of production at Southgate.  This 2-digit code would cycle to 99 then revert back to 00, instead of 100, and so forth.  8733 refers to ... Unknown at this time.
24260 - Plant-use chassis number
Cars manufactured at Southgate still used an identical tag found on 1975 models.  "Body by Fisher" was stamped at the top and the Government conformity statement at the bottom.  The 1st line still represented the car's style and body while the 2nd line displayed trim and paint RPO Codes and the 3rd line were plant-use codes.

For 1976, the plant at Ste. Therese decided to simplify their trim tags and significantly altered them compared to the '75 issue.  I will focus on the Canadian-assembled cars and trim tags after the Southgate trim tag information.
